If you don't have a car take the Metro, which is LA's Subway, to the Hollywood and Highland stop. Then take city bus #217 heading West on Hollywood Boulevard, get off at Fairfax Boulevard and Melrose Avenue, walk one block West to 7950 Melrose Avenue.
